"I had an amazing, though unusual, experience with the birth of my 3rd child. I hired Victoria at 38 weeks! After a typical healthy pregnancy, I found out my baby was breech at 36 weeks. I was incredibly set on avoiding a c-section and began exploring the spinning babies techniques to encourage baby to turn. After a week and a half of chiropractic, acupuncture, bodywork, and all the other things I could try, I had a failed external version at 37 weeks and 5 days. I was so discouraged! Statistically, I had everything in my favor that said that the version should have worked. Baby was just not cooperating. I found myself a day shy of 38 weeks, with a stubborn breech baby, and I was being told that spinning babies was my only hope, but I would most likely be having that c-section I was still very determined to avoid. I knew if I had any hope of getting baby to turn with positions alone, I would need the help of a trained professional.
This is where I reached out to Victoria. She sensed my anxiety, and immediately put me at ease. She made me feel like I still had hope and a good chance of getting baby to turn! She talked about the ways she could advocate for a better experience if I did end up with a c-section, and mentioned things I hadn’t even thought about, much less would have known to ask for. She committed to meet with me every day that week to help me execute the spinning babies poses correctly. She encouraged me to continue chiropractic and other practices aimed at balancing and adjusting my body as a whole. I really felt like she cared for me, not just turning my baby, which was what I had sought her services for, but my overall physical, mental, and emotional health as well.
After 2 days of her practiced hand and guidance in performing the spinning babies exercises, baby finally turning head down! I was able to be induced 5 days later and delivered my daughter exactly as I’d hoped. During the time between her turning and delivery day Victoria was there for me to help manage my anxiety and fears that she might flip back. She texted me daily to check on me, offering words of encouragement and affirmation that I would be holding my baby soon, helping to set me at ease during a very stressful week!
During the birth she was there to offer advice, encouragement, and support. She even helped by running out for a treat for the nurses, something I had overlooked in the excitement. She finds the perfect balance of being helpful in just the right way, without overstepping. Especially further along during the birth, when my husband was the one I wanted right there beside me, she took pictures (at my request) and captured priceless pictures of our 1st moments with baby.
There are no words to express how grateful I am. She absolutely contributed to me having the birth experience I wanted so badly. The care and encouragement she showed me was so kind, and a huge part of managing my anxiety during a very stressful time.
I feel blessed and lucky that my baby did turn head down in time, and I was able to deliver her the way I wanted. I believe Victoria’s skill with spinning babies was part of what made that physically possible, and her calming support and emotional encouragement helping me mentally as well!
Thank you!"
